“We promised to partner with Country Stampede to bring country music fans three great days of entertainment,” Kentucky Speedway Executive Vice President and General Manager Mark F. Cassis said. “With the addition of these award-winning artists to our already exciting line-up, we’re on schedule to deliver.”
The sextet known as Diamond Rio released the eighth album of its career, "Completely," in August 2002. The album’s first single, “Beautiful Mess,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Magazine Singles Chart while the album shot as high as No. 3. The second single, “I Believe,” climbed to No. 26 on Billboard charts just nine weeks after its release. During its career, the group has produced three platinum and seven gold albums featuring the No. 1 singles “One More Day,” “Love a Little Stronger” and “Meet In The Middle.”
After its first two albums were certified gold, the four-man band Lonestar hit its stride in 1999 with its triple platinum "Lonely Grill" release and its No. 1 single, “Amazed.” The quartet’s 2001 release, "I’m Already There," was certified gold after fans embraced both the title and second single “Unusually Unusual.” The album has spent more than 80 weeks on the Billboard Country Album Chart, including a stint at No. 1.
Adkins burst on to the country scene with his 1996 release, "Dreamin’ Out Loud," which featured the hit single “Every Light In The House.” He followed his successful debut with his 1997 album, "Big Time," and 1999 release, "More." He’s currently climbing the charts with the title track from his 2001 release, "Chrome." The title single has traveled as high as No. 4, and the album as high as No. 17 on the Billboard charts.
Singletary will perform with Rhett Akins, Wade Hayes and Chad Brock during a special “Honky Tonk Tailgate Party” on Saturday, June 7. Singletary released his fifth career album, "That’s Why I Sing This Way," in 2002 and currently appears on the Billboard Country Singles chart with a remake of the Conway Twitty classic, “I’d Love To Lay You Down.” He previously scored hits with the singles “Too Much Fun” and “Amen Kind Of Love.” Akins first made headlines in 1995 with the single “That Ain’t My Truck” off of his "Thousand Memories" release. He is currently supporting his most recent album, "Friday Night In Dixie."

Skaggs has won multiple Grammy, Academy of Country Music, Country Music Association awards during a career that has produced 14 country, five bluegrass and one gospel album. He generated 12 No. 1 singles in the 1980s with hits such as “Crying My Heart Out Over You,” “Country Boy” and “Lovin’ Only Me.” His most recent albums pay tribute to the bluegrass sounds of his native Kentucky. They include his 2001 release, "History of the Future," and 2002 release, "Ricky Skaggs & Friends Sing the Songs of Bill Monroe.'
Bluegrass sensation Mountain Heart, parody artist Cledus T. Judd, newcomer Shannon Lawson and The Del McCoury Band round out the list of new additions to bring the list to 25 of acts committed to perform at Kentucky Speedway. The Country Stampede also will feature regional acts on the Jack Daniels Saloon Stage.
The Kentucky Speedway is not new to music concerts. In addition to several pre-race concerts, the track featured a Metallica "Summer Sanitorium" heavy metal concert held in 2000 that attracted a crowd of 52,000. In 2001, the track featured a stop on the heavy metal "Warped Tour."
