MADISON, Ind. Budweiser, a longtime
partner in the 30-plus-year history of the Madison Regatta,
has come on board as an associate sponsor for the July 1-2
race, it was announced May 4 at the monthly membership meeting.
The sponsorship agreement will make Budweiser the official
beer provider of the Madison Regatta, according to board member
Tony Steinhardt.

Additional Unlimited Heat sponsors have also
signed up for this years 56th anniversary of Unlimited
hydroplane racing in Madison. Heat Sponsors for the Unlimited
Hydroplane class will be Bender Lumber, Clifty Engineering
& Tool Company, Morgan Foods and Ponderosa Steakhouse.
Scott Tebbe, Madison Regatta sponsorship chairman, recently
announced the signing of several returning sponsors from last
year, as well as new sponsors signing their initial sponsorships
with the Regatta organization. Associate sponsors include
the Scott County Visitors Commission and T-Mobile. Official
Product Sponsors include Budweiser, Cunningham Campers, Papa
Johns Pizza, Ponderosa Steakhouse and Thomas Family
Winery.

Regatta weekend will include a non-stop racing program with
the thrilling 200 mph deck-to-deck action of the Unlimited
hydroplanes, the fifth anniversary of the Bob Snelling Vintage
Memorial Event, the Morgan Foods Inboard 2.5 Litre Racing
Class, Madisons own Cliff Robinson flying over the Ohio
River in the Grote Industries Air Show, and the popular American
Legion Post No. 9 Fireworks Spectacular, taking place at approximately
10 p.m. EDT-fast time Saturday.
Madison will be the second stop of the seven-race unlimited
hydroplane schedule of the American Boat Racing Association.
Advance Admission to the Madison Regatta is $20 through June
25 with children 10-under free. Race fans can go online to
print an order form or call the Regatta office for purchasing
advance admission and other race viewing packages. Advance
admission outlets will soon be selling the wristbands soon.
Admission gate price will be $25.
The admission price also includes three nights of Music on
the River entertainment from Wednesday, June 28, through Friday,
June 30. A $3 collectors button sold at the music gates
or an admission wristband is required for the Music on the
River activities. Saturday nights music program is free
to the public.
