(June 2009) Madison Regatta race
fans are getting excited about the upcoming Unlimited hydroplane
season, which opens July 3-4 at Madison.
This year, the community-owned Oh Boy!Oberto-Miss Madison
will proudly wear the U-1 on its helm. For the first time
in its 48-year history, the Oh Boy! Oberto-Miss Madison (U-6)
finished first in National High Points for Unlimited hydroplanes
for the 2008 season. This entitles the team to carry the coveted
U-1 designation throughout the 2009 racing season.
The week prior to the race in Madison is filled with activities
that range from a waterball competition among firefighters
to a street dance for visitors and residents.

18th birthday by June 1. The pageant is limited to the first
12 applicants. The entry fee is $75 for applications received
