(August 2007) The Indiana Plein Air Painters
Association has produced a collection of more than 100 paintings featured
in the book Painting Indiana II, The Changing Face of Agriculture.

collection includes art by
Hanover, Ind., artist Bill Borden.

The regional artists include Bill Borden, Mark Burkett,
Mary Ann Davis, Lynn Dunbar, Bob Farlow, Jeff Klinker, Ron Mack, Nancy
Maxwell, Carol Strock-Wasson and Scott Sullivan.
The collection is a beautiful portrayal of the past, present and future
of Indianas agriculture as seen through the eyes of the artists.
All paintings were created while in the field and include sights such
as bucolic live-stock farms, farmers markets, flower producers,
and automated dairy operations.
A selection of 40 works is being displayed over the following months
as a continuation of an exhibit started in August 2006. The exhibit
will continue at Richmond, West Lafayette, and Indianapolis. The art
auction will take place Oct. 28 in Indianapolis.
The exhibit will conclude with a book signing and reception from 4 p.m.
to 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, and an auction from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday,
Oct. 28, at Wickliff & Associates Auctioneers Inc., Carmel, Ind.
Portions of the proceeds from the auction will benefit the Center for
Agricultural Science and Heritage Inc. and the IPAPA.
