Media celebrity grape stomp
boasts many participants

Top three winners will earn
prize money for favorite charities

(August 2009) – A new event at this year’s Swiss Wine Festival will be the Media Celebrity Grape Stomp, to benefit charity.
This wild event is scheduled for noon Saturday, Aug. 29, during the 38th annual Swiss Wine Festival at Paul Ogle Riverfront Park in downtown Vevay, Ind.  
On-air TV and radio personalities, newspaper reporters, columnists and freelance writers from the local area and including Cincinnati, Indianapolis and Louisville will be given the opportunity to not only receive a “foots-on” history lesson on wine making in “The Birthplace of the First Successful Commercial Winery in America” but go toe-to-toe for the opportunity to win prize money for their favorite charity.
The top three celebrities will earn $1,000 for their favorite charity, with $500 for second place and third place at $250.

To date, participating in the Swiss Wine Festival parade that will begin at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, include personalities from WIBC-Indianapolis and Network Indiana and Julie Tam from WDRB-Fox 41 in Louisville and Elizabeth J. Musgrave a Travel, Arts & Entertainment reporter from the West Side Community News in Indianapolis.
