Thunder Over Louisville
air show kicks off all the fun.

Thursday, April 7
McDonalds Thunder Preview Party. 5-9 p.m. at Bowman
Field, Central American Airways Hanger. Special preview of Thunder Over
Louisville, family interactive area, plus pilot meet and greet. Children
are invited to dress as their favorite superhero. Free with a Pegasus
Pin or McDonalds Thunder Funder cup.
Friday, April 15
Derby Festival Theyre off! Luncheon. 11:30 a.m.
at the Galt House East Grand Ballroom. Tickets: $608 Table of 8 or $76
each. Guest Speaker: Sam Champion.
The Fillies Derby Ball. Presented by LG&E at
the Galt House East Grand Ballroom. Cocktails at 7 p.m. Doors open 7:30
p.m. Dinner 8:30 p.m. Queens Coronation 9:15 p.m. The Paddock
area opens 9:30 p.m. Entertainment by Endless Summer. Tickets $175 each,
Corporate Table of 8 is $1,700, Corporate Table of 10 is $2,050, includes
appetizers, dinner and dancing. The Paddock tickets $70

Saturday, April 16
Opening Ceremonies for Thunder Over Louisville. Downtown
Louisville Riverfront, Waterfront Park, River Road and Southern Indiana
shoreline. FoodFest begins at 11 a.m. Airshow at 3 p.m. Fireworks at
9:30 p.m. www.ThunderOverLouisville.org.
Thunder Chow Wagon at Waterfront Park. Free with
a 2011 Pegasus Pin. Open 11 a.m. - 11 p.m. No tents, stakes, tape or
pets. North Great Lawn Area opens at 9 a.m. Free with a 2011 Pegasus

Taste of Derby Festival. 5:30-8:30 p.m.
at Slugger Field. Tickets $75. All proceeds to benefit Dare to Care.
Features exquisite fare from over 65 of Louisvilles finest restaurants
and beverage companies. Bourbon tasting, bloody mary contest, wine tasting

for Derby Festival Marathon/miniMarathon.

U.S. Bank Great Balloonfest. Free with a 2011 Pegasus
Pin. 5 p.m. on April 28 is the Great Balloon Tour at Indiana University
Southeast. 8:30 p.m. is the Great Balloon Glimmer at the waterfront.
7 a.m. on April 29 is the Great Balloon Rush-Hour Race at Bowman Field.
9 p.m. is the Great Balloon Glow at Bowman Field. Gates open at 6 p.m.
$5 parking fee (cash only). 7 a.m. on April 30 is the Great Balloon
Race at Bowman Field.
Friday, April 29
Movie Night on the Great Lawn. 9:15 p.m. at Krogers
Fest-a-Ville on the waterfront. Featuring the movie Twilight
on a giant 45-foot inflatable movie screen. Blankets and chairs are
welcome. Free with a 2011 Pegasus Pin.
Saturday, April 30
Derby Festival Mini-Marathon Presented by Wal-Mart.
7:30 a.m. at Main Street near Slugger Field. Free for spectators. Entry

Sonic Saturday Concert. Featuring Soul Asylum at
9 p.m. at Krogers Fest-a-Ville on the waterfront. Free with a

Sunday, May 1

tours 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Open to public 5-9 p.m. at the Kentucky Exposition

Great Steamboat Race Presented by Turner Construction Co.
4:45-5:40 p.m. boarding. 5:45 p.m. departure. Race begins at 6 p.m.

Fest-a-Ville. Tickets on the Belle of Louisville $130 (limited availability).

Wednesday Concert Featuring Todd Snider. 8 p.m. at

Republic Bank Pegasus Parade. 5 p.m. heading west on
Broadway from Campbell to Ninth Street. Bleacher tickets $9 and chair
seating $11. Review stand seating $26. This annual spectacle of colorful
floats, marching bands, giant inflatables and equestrians will be broadcast
live on WAVE 3 TV.
Tune It Up Concert. Featuring Cage the Elephant with
Special Guest The Pass. 8 p.m. at Krogers Fest-a-Ville on the

Derby Eve Jam. Featuring Justin Moore with special guest
