Madison Area Arts Alliance plans Chautauqua ‘Artist Showcase’
Local artists have registered to participate
(September 2015) – Madison Area Arts Alliance is pleased to announce the Madison Area Arts Showcase within the Madison Chautauqua Festival of Art on Sept. 26-27.

The booth will be located on Broadway Street inside the festival and will feature a sampling of high quality original art, writing, music and other unique creations of area artists.
Over the past month, area artists have submitted applications to the Madison Area Arts Alliance, and the Alliance presented a large combined application to the Madison Chautauqua Jury committee.
In addition to showing our support for the prestigious, award-winning festival, the Madison Area Arts Alliance and Arts Showcase will highlight area artists, while encouraging attendees to know that Madison is a year-round arts and cultural destination.

The 10x20-foot booth will also highlight the newly designated Madison Arts and Cultural District, one of only six in the state of Indiana – this spring, Madison joined the ranks of Bloomington, Columbus, Nashville, West Lafayette and Carmel as an official Indiana Cultural District.
Being a designated Indiana Cultural District recognizes Madison as having an outstanding creative community with a large concentration of artists and arts organizations within its boundaries.
The Madison Area Arts Alliance, a non-profit organization led by artists and community members, is championing our art-centric community by nurturing artists and arts organizations – to build a stronger voice for the ARTS in our area.
