Square the club face with the right hand
Have you ever hit the ball to the right with an
open club face? Most everyone who has played the game can say yes
to that question.
Try the same feeling with the golf swing. Palm up at waist
high coming into the hitting area and palm down half way through
to the finish (see photos).
My final drill is for those of you who have played baseball or softball. It
has always seemed to me that the feeling of the trail arm and hand in
the impact area is similar to fielding a ground ball and throwing it with
a side arm or a slightly underhand motion. The elbow leads the arm and
the hand follows with an extended motion to the target.
